You will then have a reference point (the point of intersection) in one of four Personality Need Type areas.<\/p>\n<p>Note: The score indicated on the horizontal line, is representative of a person&rsquo;s tendency to be either dominant or passive. The score indicated on the vertical line is representative of the person&rsquo;s degree of socialisation and is thus expressed in the terms of Informal or Formal behavioural predispositions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Type &lsquo;A&rsquo; Behaviour and Needs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Persons who generally demonstrate observable Type A Behaviour may be described as having stronger needs for self-recognition and, therefore, their behaviour and their needs would be described as following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>General behaviour<\/strong><br \/>\nEnjoys being the centre of attention<br \/>\nMay spend a lot of time on self- presentation<br \/>\nMay not work well in groups, but may when it involves reporting<br \/>\nTend to be dominating and controlling<\/p>\n<p><strong>At work<\/strong><br \/>\nTends to work better on short-term projects<br \/>\nMay not work well in groups but does enjoy reporting<br \/>\nMay need regular encouragement to keep interested<br \/>\nExcellent performer where personal skills are needed<\/p>\n<p><strong>In social life<\/strong><br \/>\nLikes to be the centre of attention<br \/>\nWould probably have interests where he\/she can be &lsquo;seen&rsquo; to do well<br \/>\nMay sometimes come across as being ungracious<br \/>\nWill often be the life of the party and a great entertainer<br \/>\nWill probably be the one who arrives last and is best dressed<\/p>\n<p><strong>In love<\/strong><br \/>\nNeeds to be flattered, and is proud and passionate<br \/>\nCould not handle criticism or being relegated to second place<br \/>\nDemanding of attention and probably domineering<br \/>\nDo not expect attention when this person is otherwise occupied<\/p>\n<p><strong>Type &lsquo;B&rsquo; Behaviour and Needs<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Persons who generally demonstrate observable Type B Behaviour may be described as having stronger needs for social involvement and therefore their behaviour and their needs would be described as following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>General behaviour<\/strong><br \/>\nTends to be outgoing, social and friendly<br \/>\nUsually needs the company of other people<br \/>\nUsually accepting of other people and their ideas<br \/>\nMay appear a little unconventional and not very serious<\/p>\n<p><strong>At work<\/strong><br \/>\nWorks best on group projects<br \/>\nUsually does not like directing the activities of others<br \/>\nUsually is well liked and has noticeable skills in the interpersonal areas.
