Your opportunity to become a contributor of educational resources for the Australian Institute Of Professional Counsellors’ Publications and Professional Development activities.

OVERVIEW OF AIPC
The Australian Institute of Professional Counsellors (AIPC) is the largest provider of Counsellor Education in Australia with a goal to continually provide high quality, easily accessible and cost effective education for those who would like to embark on a career in counselling.

As a Registered Training Organisation and accredited non-university provider of higher education, the institute currently offers a Diploma of Professional Counselling, a Vocational Graduate Certificate in Counselling, a Vocational Graduate Diploma of Counselling and a Bachelor Degree in Counselling.

The Institute also offers ongoing opportunities for students and graduates across Australia, to obtain up-to-date information on the counselling industry through an online counselling magazine and a quarterly published journal titled, “The Professional Counsellor.”

CALL FOR CASE STUDIES
On an ongoing basis AIPC seeks submissions of written case studies relating to professional counselling practice from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for publication in the Institute’s magazines and periodicals including the online counselling magazine and The Professional Counsellor.

The goal of each case study should be to offer evidence of valid approaches to counselling practice that are distinctly relevant to the specific case.

Case study submissions need to be between 1000-1500 words in length and follow a format which includes a suitable title, succinct précis, introduction, main body and conclusion. Other headings and subheadings can be used at the discretion of the author. References are encouraged to offer supporting evidence of strategies employed.

SUBMITTING YOUR CASE STUDY FOR REVIEW
You can submit your case studies, preferably via email, including a professional outline of your qualifications, relevant practice experience and your contact details to Pedro Gondim: pedro@aipc.net.au.

NOTIFICATION OF DECISION
Authors will be notified of a decision within 4 weeks of the case study being submitted. Decisions on case study submissions will fall into one of four categories; accepted with no revision required, accepted on condition of minor revision, accepted on condition of major revision or not accepted.

PAYMENT FOR YOUR CONTRIBUTION
If your case study is accepted for use by the Institute you have the option to receive a training voucher to access Counselling Academy’s online Professional Development courses and video workshops for a full 12-months (value $259) OR receive a payment of $150 (cheque, sent to your mailing address).

    Hi Elvie,

Thank you for your message. The Case Studies can be either fictitious or based on true accounts; althought in the latter case the writer will normally modify the name of clients and other involved for confidentiality purposes.
