Watch and Learn

Lights, Camera, Action!

There’s no better way to learn or fine tune your skills than watching a professional perform the skills in front of your eyes. Presented in an authentic and flowing style, AIPC’s therapy videos are innovative and informative educational resources, useful for students and practicing professionals in any helping profession.

Well - we’ve promised to give-away a range of great free content on our anniversary, and we are sticking to that promise! For a limited time only, YOU can watch the Person-Centred therapy video here at the Blog. It’s a free resource – so take advantage of it!

Video: Person-Centred Therapy

The person-centred approach focuses on the client being able to develop a greater understanding of self in an environment which allows the client to resolve his or her own problems without direct intervention by the therapist. In this video, you will learn to apply the key concepts of Person Centred Therapy; the goals of Person Centred Therapy; the techniques of Person Centred Therapy such as congruence, unconditional positive regard, empathy and nondirectiveness and analyse the contributions of the counsellor and the client in the therapeutic process.

I am in the middle of my Counselling Studies Level 3 and I found the video really useful to watch. I realise I talk too much instead of listening. I found it very informative and I will keep watching it and hopefully it will help me improve my trainee counselling. Thank you
