Explore the AIPC Article Library

Time to read

Have you visit the AIPC Article Library yet? The Library was developed last year to cater for our growing list of articles and case studies, featured in several Institute publications such as the Institute Inbrief eZine and the Professional Counsellor Journal. To get you acquainted with this great resource, we’ve decided to provide a briefing on the Library’s tools and structure. Enjoy the tour!

When you enter the page (www.aipc.net.au/articles) you will instantly see a search box on the top. The Basic search mechanism searches an article title with the keyword you have typed in. The Advanced Search option looks for your keyword within every article available online. Though it might take a few moments, it is more likely you will find what you are looking for.

Right below the search box, there is the familiar RSS Icon. By clicking on this icon, you will be given the Library’s RSS feed URL. If you are not sure what RSS is, and what you should do with the URL, simply click on the ‘Learn More’ link, which will direct you to the Library’s FAQ page. If you are already familiar with RSS technology, you’ll know the benefits of receiving notifications when each new article is published.

The front page displays the latest 10 articles published in the Library. Each article includes a title, a brief description, and a link to access the full version. On the right side of the page, you will see the eZine subscription box (for those of you who haven’t subscribed yet), the category browsing window (articles are divided into 20 different categories) and the referral window (simply enter your friend’s name and email and he or she will receive a link to the article you are viewing).

Below the referral window you will find the article submission box, which allows you to simply browse the document in your computer and email it to our publications team. Finally, the print icon (following the article submission box) makes it easy to print any article by opening a structure page ready to be printed.

Note: We’re always on the lookout for quality contributions; so if you have a knack for writing, send your article via the submission box. Approved authors will have their publication featured at the page, along with credentials and contact details. We also encourage professionals that have their own eZines or newsletters to republish an article (please read the Copyright Notice for terms and conditions).

The AIPC Article Library currently has over 70 articles. If you are looking for free quality content and convenience, it is the place to go!

We’ll see you soon,

Editor.
